La pulga de la oreja paseó su mirada por todo el territorio: la blanda llanura suave se ondulaba al soplo de la brisa. A ella le gustaba especialmente deslizarse por las ligeras pendientes hasta asomarse al borde de sus dominios para contemplar mejor los límites de su imperio. Sí, sus tierras constituían el más bello de los paisajes. Por eso, confeccionó una bandera con los dos colores que definían el solar de su nación –el blanco y el negro- y la espetó en el suelo con orgullo. Después, compuso un vibrante himno y lo entonó con los ojos húmedos de sentimiento.
La pulga de la cabeza se encaramó hasta la cumbre de sus dominios y desde allí contempló todo el paisaje: una sucesión de zonas níveas y misteriosas islas negras. Sí, el suyo era un territorio privilegiado, la cúspide desde la que se podía hablar de tú al sol, la cima llamada a conquistar y unificar todos los otros territorios y ella era, sin duda, el ser elegido por el destino para tal empresa. Por eso, inspirada por la pasión del momento, diseñó una bandera que representara el esplendor del sol que coronaba su reino y la clavó en el suelo que pisaba. Luego, entonó un himno solemne mientras las lágrimas bañaban su rostro emocionado.
La pulga del lomo se sintió satisfecha después del largo recorrido por su extenso territorio. Ella era la poseedora de la región más amplia y, por lo tanto, podía considerarse la más afortunada de todas sus congéneres. Llena de orgullo tejió una bandera que representara la amplitud de sus dominios y, con gesto solemne, la clavó sobre una ligera protuberancia en el mismo centro de su reino para señalar definitivamente sus dominios. A continuación, lanzó hacia los cuatro confines la melodía de su himno sonoro para dejar constancia de su propiedad inalienable.

HOLDERS AND POSSESSIONS (the real dimension of things)
The flea on the ear looked through its territory: that soft plain land spotted of white and black waved under the wind. This flea loved skating across the little slopes to reach the limits of its empire. Yes, that was the most beautiful land in the world so, the flea on the ear made a flag with the two colours of its land –white and black- and drove it in the soil. Then, she sang a solemn hymn with wet eyes of emotion.
The flea on the head climbed up the summit of its domains and looked over all the landscape: open spaces white as snow and mysterious black spots spread across the land. Yes, it was the most privileged territory for the flea was able to speak directly to the sun an for from that peak it was possible to conquer all the black and white territories and she, the flea from the head, was the choosen for the task. So, she made a flag with the magnificent colours of the sun and drove it in her sacred soil. Then, she sang a solemn hymn while tears flew down her face.
The flea on the back got tired but satisfied after her long walk across her long territory. She was the owner of the most extensive territory so, she could be considered the luckiest of her fellows. So, filled of proud, she made a flag that would symbolize her enormous land and droved it just in the middle of her vast soil to delimit her domain. Then, moved to tears, she sang a solemn hymn.
The white and black dog woke up and stretched all its body. The fleas had been disturbing it all the time but the dog was ready to end its itch. First, it scrubbed its back on the wall and then, with its leg, it scratched its ear and head. Finally, it lied down again and went on sleeping.
