RFT

So you want to learn more about Relational Frame Theory….welcome! We imagine that you may have landed on this page because you are interested in understanding RFT as the underpinning of ACT, you are interested in potentially doing research on RFT or with an RFT lens, you are a student and learning more about RFT, you are a professor looking for resources for your students, or simply because you are just interested in language and cognition! Whatever your reason, on these pages you will find summaries of important RFT concepts, as well as suggested resources for more in-depth learning and professional development. You will also find important and helpful information on Contextual Behavior Science, the research paradigm underlying the development of ACT and RFT, in the CBS pages on this website.

Another way to learn more about RFT is to join the RFT SIG—there is a very active listserv, and we regularly hold community discussion events.

Read more about RFT and how you might apply an understanding of RFT to your work in various arenas in the pages listed below. We (the RFT SIG) are currently in process of adding to and updating these pages and the menu bar to the left, so some pages listed may not yet be created and linked—please keep checking back.
