Postdoctoral Fellowship, McLean/Harvard Medical School OCD Institute for Children and Adolescents (OCDI Jr.), Massachusetts

 

McLean Hospital is seeking to fill a full-time clinical postdoctoral fellowship position in the OCD Institute for Children and Adolescents (OCDI Jr.). The OCDI Jr.is a residential program for children and adolescents who present with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and related disorders. The program provides cutting-edge treatment delivered in a sensitive and nurturing manner. The primary treatments used are Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These evidence-based behavioral treatment approaches have been shown to have a profound and positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents struggling with OCD and related anxiety disorders. The OCDI Jr. is one of only a few programs in the country to provide this form of residential evidence-based treatment for anxious youth. The position is for those with interests in OCD, anxiety, related evidence-based treatments, and clinical research. Clinical opportunitie s include working in-person within residential and partial hospitalization program settings to provide individual, family, and group therapy, to those experiencing significant OCD and anxiety. Professional development opportunities include training in clinical supervision, program innovation, community outreach, and access to didactics and workshops provided by a top-tier academic medical center. The post-doctoral fellow in this position is also proposed for an academic appointment as a Clinical Fellow in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School

Candidates must have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship. Qualified individuals will have clinical experience with cognitive-behavioral therapy and general familiarity with OCD, anxiety and related disorders. Experience with children, adolescents, and families is preferred.
