ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have attended a 2 day workshop with Steven Hayes at the ABCT meeting, read several ACT books, and attended the meetings of the New England Chapter of ACBS in the past. I have also had a regular meditation practice for almost 50 years, including yearly week long retreats, so I was familiar with the underlying perspective before I learned about ACT.
ACT/CBS Experience: I have used several strategies in my practice, and I have gotten supervision from Lisa Coyne in my work with children.
Additional Information: I have done the intensive and advanced training in DBT, and I have been a member of a DBT consultation team. I am a Level 1 Trainer in Parent-Child Interaction therapy. I also lead meditation groups in my religious community. My earliest training was in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which I still practice.
