ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am a clinical and school psychologist with research and clinical expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trained and supervised by Dr. Maria Karekla. I have participated in multiple local and international ACT seminars and workshops and apply ACT principles in practice. My master’s research examined ACT enhanced with text messages for adolescent smoking cessation, and my PhD focused on ACT mechanisms of psychopathology development and therapy change using alternative assessment tools (MPFI vs. ACT scales) and advanced psychometric methods (Latent Variable and Network Analysis). I am particularly interested in identifying protective and risk factors for mental and physical health across the lifespan through the lens of ACT and psychological flexibility.
