In this 3-hour class, we will explore the importance of self-care for clinicians in today's fast-paced world. By incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into your practice, you can improve your own well-being while empowering your clients to lead more meaningful lives. Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamental principles and techniques of ACT, integrating mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based action to help clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You will also discover how to apply ACT to your own life, promoting self-care and preventing burnout.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: An Experiential and Practical Introduction
This two-day workshop provides a thorough overview of the theory, principles, and techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It is intended for those who are relatively new to ACT and for those who have done some reading on their own about ACT but who may not have had the opportunity to participate in more experiential learning, observe models, or receive feedback while using the ACT model.
The first morning of the workshop is didactic in order to lay a shared groundwork for understanding.
