دف از پژوهش حاضر، مقایسه اثربخشی درمانهای روایتی و مبتنی بر پذیرش و تعهد، بر کیفیت زندگی و اضطراب وجودی سالمندان بود. این پژوهش از نوع تجربی با طرح )پیشآزمون- پسآزمون با گروه کنترل(، میباشد. جامعه آماری را سالمندان ساکن در سراهای سالمندی شهر تهران تشکیل دادند. نمونهها به تعداد 30 نفر، با روش خوشهای انتخاب و به صورت تصادفی در سه گروه 10 نفره، شامل دو گروه آزمایشی و یک گروه کنترل، جای گرفتند.

در سنین سالمندی به دلیل شیوع از دست دادنها و فقدانهای متعدد نظیر همسر، اقوام، دوستان، شغل، موقعیت اجتماعی و اقتصادی، باورها و اعتقادات و غیره، افراد بیش از پیش در معرض زمینههای ابتال به دلزدگی وجودی قرار دارند. بنابراین پژوهش حاضر با هدف مقایسه اثربخشی درمان معنویتمحور و درمان مبتنی بر پذیرش و تعهد بر کاهش دلزدگی وجودی سالمندان انجام شد. روش پژوهش حاضر، نیمهآزمایشی با طرح پیشآزمون-پسآزمون و پیگیری با گروه کنترل بود.
