The objective of this study is to perform a meta-analysis of studies carried out on the effectiveness of behavioral activation therapy and to make a report on the contributions and limitations of these investigations. Relevant studies were identified through Pubmed and Researchgate databases. Only recently published studies implicated in the efficacy of the technique of behavioral activation were considered.

The purpose of this article is to present a review of the concept of Mindfulness, its use in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Mindfulness is a technique aimed at an objective observation of reality, with full openness and acceptance without a judgmental attitude. Mindfulness has proved to be useful in the treatment of the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, decreasing physical symptomatology as well as related problems like depression and anxiety.

Heart diseases account for a large percentage of all deaths and disabilities worldwide, deaths attributable to this diseases have increased in parallel with the deterioration of health habits in the population (SIAC, 2018). The economic, social and emotional burden increases in the health care system because this chronic disease is increasing. Medical care for heart disease, including surgeries and cardiac rehabilitation programs, is often expensive.

Background/Objectives: This study aimed to explore the psychometric properties of BI-AAQ (Body-Image Acceptance and Action Questionnaire) and the body image psychological flexibility role as a mediator in a pervasive path towards binge eating in Brazilian samples. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted in clinical (overweight or obese women currently in treatment for weight loss; n= 330) and non-clinical (general population; n= 682) groups of women.
