Please consult the ACBS Chapter Handbook and Sample Chapter By-Laws for details and information. Please login to the website, then fill out the on-line form below.
In order for your Chapter Application to be processed, you must send the following information to ACBS:
- Signatures of 25 ACBS members who support the formation of this Chapter (emailed to the ACBS office or attached below)
- Verification that at least 50 ACBS members live or work in the proposed Chapter area. Check Member Directory here.
- Names of 4 committed volunteers (Signing volunteers of a new chapter are required to make a minimum two year commitment as a volunteer supporting the chapter, regardless of whether or not they hold an official, elected role in the Chapter).
- By-laws for the Chapter (please submit via the form below).
The application, by-laws, and signatures will be reviewed by ACBS staff. (You will be notified if the chapter application or by-laws need to be modified, or if there are fewer than 25 signatures from current ACBS members.) After the ACBS staff approves the chapter application and by-laws, the ACBS Board of Directors will vote to approve or reject creating the new chapter.
