The main aim of the article is to present the model of psychological flexibility and to describe how can it be useful for purpose of understanding psychological mechanisms of living value-based life or resisting one’s dreams. The paper depicts basic assumptions of psychological flexibility model and its six core processes.

Responding to stimuli in accordance with the noticed and derived relations between them exerts influence on various mental skills, including the problem solving, language communication, and social functioning. In the behavioral psychology deriving relations between the stimuli (e.g. objects, events) is referred to as relational framing and is defined as the learned, generalized operant behavior.

Psychological flexibility is a construct developed in the area of contextual behavioral science (CBS). The core of psychological flexibility is the ability to freely choose actions that are in accordance with one's own goals and values, regardless of what thoughts, emotions, and impressions are triggered by those activities (Hayes, Strosahl, Wilson, 2013).

Badanie prezentuje wyniki polskiej walidacji Kwestionariusza Akceptacji i Działania-II (AAQ-II). Wyniki z dwóch prób (N1=602, N2=70) wskazują na stabilną strukturę, wysoką rzetelność oraz trafność zbieżną, różnicową i przyrostową. Alfa Cronbacha dla pierwszej próby wyniosła .938 [CI (.912; .958)], dla drugiej .910 [CI (.874; .939)]. Stabilność dwutygodniowa wyniosła r = .733 [CI (.602; .825)].
