Introduction: Quality of life isthe most importantcomponent ofthe concept ofmental health.
To determinehealthneedsand improvehealth, quality of lifeshouldbe examined.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the counseling
approach based on acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT) onthe quality of life of
women admitted to Isfahan cultural centers.
Method: This study was a quasi-experimental method and performed pre-test - post-test with
the control group. The population selected of women who were the cultural centers of the
city. Cluster sampling was the cultural center of the cultural centers of the city was chosen
family. Sample of 30 women who volunteered to participate in the workshop were selected
and randomly divided into two groups (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The dependent
variable in this study was women's marital attributions and quality of life.
The instrument wasself-reported by the World Health Organization's quality of life. Data
analysis was performed using analysis of covariance.
Results: The resultsof this studyshowed that counselingbased onacceptance and commitment,
increased quality of lifeand the dimensions ofmarried women (including physical and
psychological health) in the experimental groupthanin the control groupafter the test (001/0=
p, 547/17= F).
Conclusion: Therefore, the study concluded that counseling approach based on acceptance
and commitment Therapy can improve quality of life and marital attribution.
