Abstract

Background and Objective: This study has compare to examine the efficacy of emotional focused couple Therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy on marital adjustment and marital satisfaction.

Methods: Research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest follow-up .The study population consisted of all couples in Isfahan. The sample included 45 couples (Emotional Focused Couple therapy (15 couples), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (15 couples) and control group (15 couples) were randomly selected by convenience sampling with replacement. Participated in group ACT (12 session ) AND EFT (14session), and control group was not under any intervention questioner of Perceived questionnaire marital satisfactions and marital adjustment that couple groups in pre-test, post-test and follow up it completed Data were analyzed with repeated measures analysis of variance.

Results: Covariance analysis showed that Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Emotional Focused Couple on Marital Adjustment and Marital Satisfaction are effective: Excitement focused treatment effect size 0.96 and size of the treatment effect was 0.9-based commitment and acceptance therapy.

Conclusion: The results of this study could be clinical and the therapeutic interventions in order to increase Marital Satisfaction and Marital Adjustment.
