Abstract
There is a debate in the scientific community around the emergence of a third wave of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), as to whether it is a distinctive model from the two previous traditions. New paradigm or logical continuity of the CBT approach? Still the new developments may have much to offer to CBT practitioners and can be integrated to existing treatments. This article presents the contributions of the third wave approaches to cognitive and behavioural therapy.
