Description:
Join the RFT SIG for the next installment in our Dissemination and Implementation of RFT in Behavior Analysis series. In this session, Dr. Christopher Tullis will present on findings from the article A Systematic Review of Derived Relational Responding Beyond Coordination in Individuals with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (Gibbs, Tullis, Conine, & Fulton, 2023). Read the article here.

This comprehensive review synthesized 38 studies across 30 articles, offering one of the clearest pictures to date of how individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn to demonstrate derived relational responding beyond the relation of coordination.

Dr. Tullis will explore:

  • The current state of the evidence for teaching derived relational responding beyond sameness
  • Instructional methods that show promise in supporting broader repertoires
  • Challenges with rigor and reliability in the published literature
