Dr. Degan plans to present working with groups to improve leadership effectiveness for the monthly meeting.
Dr. Dagen received his B.S.in psychology from Western Michigan University and a MA and Ph.D. in behavioral psychology from the University of Nevada Reno.
He applies the principles of behavioral psychology and behavioral systems analysis to improve the performance of individuals, teams, and organizations.
Specific focus areas include leadership capability, learning and development, human performance systems, talent management systems, and behavioral safety systems.
He spent nine years with BP after the Gulf of Mexico disaster contributing to company-wide efforts to improve leadership capability, culture, personal and process safety performance, and global behavioral systems.
He currently works for Hewlett Packard Enterprise leading the executive talent management team. He is a trustee for the Cambridge Center for Behavior Studies (CCBS) and former commissioner for the CCBS behavior-based safety accreditation team.
As a researcher, Dr. Dagen has presented and published papers across topics such as feedback systems in petrochemical operations and improving the performance of skilled athletes.
He also served as a reviewer for the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Dagen is a former All-American triathlete and 2-time Ironman.
Actually I've joined the monthly meeting with him as a participant before.
And I totally admired his work.
Because it was the most magnificent theme I've ever seen.
