ACT/CBS Background and Training: I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2001 and completed a Post Grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy in 2002. I have been interested in Mindfulness-based approaches for a number of years and this led to discovering '3rd Wave' CBT approaches and onwards to ACT. My formal ACT training includes ACT for Beginners 2-day Workshop 2012 (David Gillanders) and ACT Intermediate Training 2-day Workshops 2013(David Gillanders) and 2014 (Russ Harris) (Louise Hayes). I have ongoing monthly supervision with David Gillanders at the University of Edinburgh and we have a local group based in Dumfries.
