ACT/CBS Experience: 20 evolving years
Additional Information: Robyn graduated from the University of Melbourne Master of Psychology (Clinical) in 2004 having earlier completed a Bachelor in Behavioural Science (Hons) at LaTrobe University as a mature aged student. After graduating Robyn worked with both Austin and Melbourne Health in outpatient, primary care, psychiatric outreach (inner Melbourne homeless population) and inpatient settings before commencing private practice late 2006. She has a passion for learning and professional development in an attempt to stay abreast of current research and provide comprehensive individually tailored therapy. Robyn has completed extensive training in CBT, ACT, DBT, Buddhist psychology, Schema and trauma therapies as well as practitioner MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for recurrent depression) training with Prof Graham Meadows of Monash University/Southern Health 2008. She has a gentle person centered approach integrating cognitive behavioural strategies with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness techniques. Future learning tasks will target mental health, emotional well being and resiliency as well as maintaining and updating current practice.
