ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am trained in cognitive-behavioral, ACT and psychodynamic approaches to psychotherapy. The more you learn to connect with self and others, the greater your capacity and possibility for living a life of ease, contentment and empowerment. Connection is at the heart of health and wealth. Once you feel safe in connection the possibilities are endless.
My approach to psychotherapy is informed by positive psychology. Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living. I help you focus on positive experiences (happiness, pleasure), positive traits (character strengths, interests, talents), and positive relationships (friendships, partnerships, family and marriage). I also help you engage in those areas of life that are not so easy to embrace, yet necessary for living life fully moment to moment.
Together we will focus on those aspects of life that contribute to building and maintaining a zestful and healthy life. I believe the outcome of successful psychotherapy is more than the absence of symptoms and disorders. It is a life that has increased passion in work, play and relationships.
ACT/CBS Experience: I use ACT in my psychotherapy practice. Experience is from self study, workshops and most recently ACT bootcamp.
