ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am one of the original ACT trainers, and one of the first scholars, with Dr. Amy Murrell, to adapt ACT to children and adolescents in the early 2000s. I am also an ACBS Fellow, and am past President of ACBS. I train clinicians internationally and have done so for about 25 years, and have served on many ACBS committees over the years.
ACT/CBS Experience: 25+ years
Additional Information: I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and am the CEO of the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety. We recruit and support new clinic owners who wish to start their own ACT-consistent practices focused on the evidence-based treatment of anxiety and OCD in adults, teens, and children. Currently, we have helped clinicians start up in New York City, Los Angeles, Colorado, Rhode Island, and Ireland (with Dr. Sarah Cassidy). Our original clinic is located in Boston, with offices in Cambridge, Melrose, and Norwell. I am currently accepting new clients who wish to have support in opening clinics, designing clinical programs, or for corporate consultation. I also keep a small caseload of clients in psychotherapy, and would be happy to refer potential clients to our excellent clinical team here in Boston.
