ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate working at a private practice in Winston-Salem, NC. During my graduate clinical experience, I had a supervisor who introduced me to ACT and supervised me in this approach. Since then, I have continued to learn and practice it in my own clinical work. My training includes the ACT in Action video series by Steve Hayes, as well as personal reading (ACT Made Simple by Russ Harris, Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life by Steve Hayes, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy 2nd ed. by Steve Hayes).
ACT/CBS Experience: During my graduate experience, I worked in an inpatient child and adolescent behavioral health setting, where I practiced using ACT in individual and group sessions. I also used ACT with clients in my private practice clinical setting.
