ACT/CBS Background and Training: I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester in 2009 and began my private practice upon completing a post-doctoral fellowship in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where I began my intensive ACT training. I also have experience teaching at the University of Rochester and SUNY Geneseo, providing therapy and clinical supervision in rural and urban mental health clinics, and I have performed psychological evaluations for public safety and corrections officers. I specialize in anxiety, OCD (utilizing ACT in combination with exposure and response prevention), relationships, and grief. I am also a registered yoga teacher and have an active group program, hosting groups and workshops in which I incorporate ACT and mindful movement for anxiety, grief, sleep difficulties, somatic concerns, and other psychological symptoms. I also host groups outdoors in local parks incorporating themes related to ecotherapy, climate grief, and ACT.
ACT/CBS Experience: I am a founding member of ROC-ACT in Rochester, NY
Additional Information: I am also a registered yoga teacher and can integrate mindful movement into psychotherapy sessions for interested clients.
