With a combined 20 years of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Hoffman provides speaking engagements, workshops, and conference seminars that are compelling for all audiences ranging from laypeople seeking advice on challenging topics to clinical experts wanting to sharpen their skills and techniques or build their professional practice.

Dr. Hoffman is an expert in clinical supervision. Integrating experience from many years of the training and development of counselors in professional settings, Dr. Hoffman presents the best of clinical skills and techniques while integrating a Christian foundation into his dynamic seminars.

Dr. Hoffman has 17 years of academic experience as an adjunct professor with past service at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Duquesne University, as well as other colleges. He has been certified as an expert witness in the Family Court Systems in Pennsylvania, where he has provided expert testimony and consultation. Finally, Dr. Hoffman has been invited to speak to both international conferences and audiences. Most recently, he has served as an adjunct faculty at the United Methodist University of Liberia, West Africa, where he provides clinical training to seminary students.

Dr. Hoffman is licensed as a Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Ohio and as a Mental Health Counselor in New York. He is a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and a Board Certified Christian Counselor. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NCMHC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor through the Center for Credentialing & Education, as well as a trained mediator.

Specialty areas include but are not limited to treating clinical depression, generalized anxiety, specific phobias, complex trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Academic specialty areas include Counseling Theories and Techniques, Psychological Theories of Personality, and Issues regarding Human Sexuality and Relationships. Dr. Hoffman also provides expert-level seminars on Group Therapy and Marital and Family Therapy.
