ACT/CBS Background and Training: ACT was part of my doctoral training, including a course and supervised experience implementing ACT with clients with a range of presenting concerns. I continued to develop my understanding of and skill with ACT through continual reading of texts and the research literature, trainings (especially in ClimACT, DNA-V, Trauma-Focused ACT, ACT group protocols, DBT, and FAP), and participation with SIGs such as the ACBS Climate SIG. I have consulted on ACT related research projects suck as one focused on developing sustainable well-being for young adults in the context of climate change and climate related distress.
ACT/CBS Experience: ACT provides the primary framework for my therapeutic work, which focuses on supporting tweens, teens, and adults with a range of concerns, especially distress associated with climate change, trauma, life stress, and grief and loss.
