I have served as Principal Investigator of a recently completed randomized pilot study (N=91) testing ACT for breast cancer survivors struggling with fear of cancer recurrence. Data from this successful pilot were used to support an R01 funded by the National Cancer Institute. In this 3-arm randomized controlled trial, our team is comparing ACT to CBT and survivorship coaching for breast cancer survivors struggling with fear of recurrence (N=375). The study began on 7/1/21.

I recently served as an ACT interventionist in an NIH R01-funded trial for women with metastatic cancer coping with fatigue (PI: Dr. Catherine Mosher). I have co-led a series of three pilot studies testing ACT for dementia caregivers with anxiety. I also served as a clinical supervisor of an ACT interventionist for a recent NIH-funded R21-funded trial to address fatigue in adults with advanced colorectal cancer and burden for their family caregivers (PI: Dr. Catherine Mosher).

Finally, I am supervising clinical psychology doctoral students on practicum at IU Health North Schwarz Cancer Center. These students are offering ACT to adults coping with cancer-related challenges.
