  • ESM captures dynamic RNT and its relation to daily emotion and valued action. 
  • Between- and within-person RNT is associated with higher distress. 
  • Only within-person RNT increases are related to reduced valued action. 
  • Within-person RNT-outcome associations vary substantially across individuals.
