The ACBS Diversity Award celebrates one outstanding ACBS member each year whose work is advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in our field.
We’re looking for members who are making a difference — whether through research, teaching, clinical practice, or community service — in areas such as gender, race, ethnicity, language, income, sexual and gender identity, religion, and disability. Your work might be published in journals, shared in classrooms, delivered in therapy rooms, or brought directly into communities. However you’ve been spreading contextual behavioral science (CBS) to promote equity, we want to recognize it.
Award Details:
The recipient will receive a certificate plus their choice of:
- One free ACBS World Conference registration for one of the next two conferences
OR - The same conference registration donated in your name to a DEI scholarship recipient chosen by the ACBS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- You must be a current ACBS member.
- Provide the name of a collaborator, co-author, or community partner who can complete a short reference form. (If you’re nominating someone else, you’ll complete this reference.)
Application Timeline:
- Opens: August 15
- Closes: September 30
- The awardee will be selected by the ACBS Awards Committee with input from the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
If you or someone you know is helping shape a more inclusive future for CBS, we want to hear your story.
If awarded, the registration portion of this scholarship may only be used to offset the main conference registration fees (the scholarship may not be applied to any other expense). If an individual is awarded more than one scholarship in the same conference year, the total value of all scholarships may not exceed the total cost of the ACBS World Conference registration fee.
