Book review in Dutch language of 'Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Anxiety Disorders' by Georg H. Eifert and John P. Forsyth
The measurement of experiential avoidance. The Dutch language version of the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (AAQ-II)
Experiential avoidance could be a process that plays an important role in several psychological problems and disorders. Experiential avoidance and the opposite process, acceptance, can be measured with the acceptance and Action Questionnaire II (AAQ-II). The purpose of this study was to develop a Dutch version of the AAQ-II, by translating the questionnaire and examining its psychometric properties in different samples of the Dutch speaking population.

If you’d tried to control problem anger before with little success, this book offers you a new approach to try. Instead of asking you to struggle even harder with anger, this book helps you to drop the rope in your tug-of-war with anger using a new set of principles and techniques: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Women should not be allowed to run. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with a pain disorder [transl. from Dutch]

The paper describes the specific ACT casusconceptualization and functional analysis, the use of metaphores, cognitive defusion, experiential techniques and therapy effects.
