Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Children: A Systematic Review of Intervention Studies
An emerging body of research demonstrates the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in the treatment of adult psychopathology, with several reviews and meta-analyses attesting to its effectiveness. Improving novel food choices in preschool children using acceptance and commitment therapy
The present study examined the effects of a novel treatment package consisting of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based activities with and without contingent rewards on children's consumption of low-preferred healthy foods. Participants were 6 children, ages 3-5, who attended a local day care center. The effects of the two treatment packages on children's tasting and approach of foods were assessed using a multiple baseline design across food categories.

ACT for Parents of Developmentally Disabled Children Manual
A manual for delivering ACT to parents, targetting parenting stress. This manual was written specifically for parents of children with developmental disabilities, however, it could be adapted for use with other high-risk parents. The intervention is written as a four hour intervention with two sessions of two hours each. This intervention was found to be effective when used in conjunction with Stepping Stones Triple P with families of children with Cerebral Palsy and families of children with Acquired Brain Injury.
