We are very thrilled to invite Lauren Ostrander-McArdle, M.S.as a guest speaker for February monthly meeting.
Lauren Ostrander McArdle recently retired from her professional ballet career after distinguished seasons as a Soloist with The Sarasota Ballet and contracts with The National Ballet of Canada, performing and training internationally throughout North America and Europe over the past 16 years.
She holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology and is a CMPC candidate. Now working at the intersection of performance, research, and education, Lauren partners with dancers, schools, and organizations through consulting and advocacy work to expand access to evidence-based mental performance support within the classical ballet domain.
In this presentation, we will explore what these tools look like when applied to ballet, from how they show up on stage to how they can be taught and trained in the studio, with special attention to the unique nuances and challenges of the classical ballet environment. Blending performance footage with applied examples, this session will connect evidence-based tools with the lived realities of ballet training and performance.
