ACT/CBS Background and Training: Extensive training in the basic principles and experimental work that lay the philosophical foundation for ACT. My first Ph.D. is in that very work (Behavior Analysis). My second Ph.D. (clinical psych) at UNR provided practical experience taking that background and applying it to a variety of clinical situations. My internship at UAMS provided opportunities to use ACT, FAP, DBT, and clinical applications of behavioral economics in a variety of outpatient settings. My postdoctoral fellowship at the VA provided practical experience using ACT with veterans and research training in implementing evidence based practices in the VA. As a faculty member at Eastern Michigan University, I provide supervision in ACT and other contemporary clinical behavior analytic treatments for students seeing clients in our community clinic.
ACT/CBS Experience: ACT UNR treatment and research teams; ACT in outpatient community mental health clinic settings; ACT in the VA; ACT supervision
