ACT/CBS Background and Training: My background in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) / Contextual Behavioral Science (CBS) is extensive and deeply rooted in both formal training and consistent practice. I have significantly deepened my ACT knowledge and skills through numerous workshops and trainings specifically focused on ACT, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of its core principles and applications. This learning has been further enriched by ongoing supervision with experienced ACT clinicians, allowing me to refine my practice and integrate feedback effectively. Furthermore, the continuous refinement of my clinical work, coupled with a dedicated personal practice of ACT principles, has solidified my understanding and embodiment of this approach.

In addition to my expertise in ACT, I also possess competencies in other evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This diverse training allows me to draw upon a range of therapeutic techniques and tailor interventions to best suit the individual needs of my clients. I am also fully trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), a valuable approach for fostering client engagement and motivation for change. My training in Exposure Therapy provides me with the skills to effectively help clients confront and overcome their fears. Furthermore, I hold a certification in Trauma-Informed Coaching, which enhances my ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals who have experienced trauma.

Mindfulness-Based Interventions: I incorporate mindfulness-based interventions into my practice, such as guided meditations, body scans, and mindful movement exercises, to help clients cultivate present moment awareness and acceptance.
Working with Resistance: I have developed effective strategies for working with client resistance and ambivalence, utilizing ACT's principles of acceptance and compassion to navigate these challenges.
