Biography: I am a Professor of Family Practice (also known as general practice in NZ) at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where I work part-time. The other two days per week are spent as a family doctor at the Auckland City Mission, where I work with people who are formerly homeless and have numerous drug and alcohol addictions. I do supervision with Dr Robyn Walser and like her offer Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD and am conducting a randomised controlled trial of 5 sessions of emotive writing over 2.5 weeks versus the traditional 5 weeks. I also have a PhD in Epidemiology.
