Special Issue on Global Mental Health and Contextual Behavioral Science; Guest Edited by Kenneth Fang, Clarissa One, Amanda Muñoz, Nigel Vahey, Luis Silva, Connie Chong

For the special issue, we particularly encourage submissions that employ robust
methodologies tailored to diverse settings in the study of CBS. We welcome both quantitative
and qualitative research. Key methodologies of interest include comparative effectiveness
trials and systematic reviews to assess CBS versus mainstream approaches in GMH,
community-based participatory action research (CBPAR) to engage marginalized
communities effectively, and cross-cultural adaptation studies to ensure cultural relevance in
LMICs and other diverse marginalized communities. Additionally, we are interested in
mixed-methods approaches that elucidate complex interactions, technology assessment
studies and randomized controlled trials for appraising digital interventions, and
implementation trials with process evaluations to investigate the practical application of CBS
techniques in varied cultural contexts.
