Abstract

Objective: To discuss the effect acceptance of joint commitment therapy on post-traumatic growth and negative emotions in patients in intensive care unit (ICU). Methods A total of 100 patients in ICU from December 2016 to January 2020 were selected as the research object. They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group by the digital table method. The control group (50 cases) received routine nursing, and the observation group(50 cases) received acceptance of joint commitment therapy on this basis. Hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS)score and post-traumatic growth scale(PTGI)score between the two groups before and after nursing were compared. Results PTGI scores and total scores in the two groups after nursing were all higher than before, and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing, the anxiety and depression scores in the HADS scale in the two groups were all lower than before, and the scores in the observation group were lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Acceptance of joint commitment therapy can promote the post-traumatic growth of patients in ICU, improve their anxiety and depression, and improve the level of mental health of patients, which is worthy of clinical application.
