XUE, C. (2022). Effect of group acceptance commitment therapy intervention on rehabilitation of schizophrenics. International Journal of Nursing, 2022(1), 65-70.
Objective: To explore the effect of group acceptance commitment therapy intervention in the rehabilitation period of schizophrenia patients.
Methods: A total of 68 schizophrenic patients admitted to this hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into routine group and intervention group according to random number table method, 34 cases of each group. Patients in the routine group were given routine nursing, while patients in the intervention group were given group acceptance commitment therapy. The changes of self-esteem, self-efficacy, social function and quality of life of patients in the two groups were observed and compared.
Results: After group acceptance commitment therapy, the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (SES) and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the routine group, and the Social Disability Screening Scale (SDSS) of the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the routine group. The Quality of Life Scale for Schizophrenics(SQLS) in the intervention group was significantly better than that in the routine group( P<0.05).
Conclusions: Group acceptance commitment therapy for patients with schizophrenia can effectively improve the level of self-esteem and self-efficacy of patients, significantly improve the degree of social dysfunction of patients, and thus improve the overall quality of life of patients, so it is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
