Abstract

This planner is designed as a client-facing workbook that guides users through applying core Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles to daily life. Drawing on ACT, occupational science, and other cognitive and behavioural approaches, it prompts users to build clarity around their values, develop psychological flexibility, cultivate mindfulness and gratitude, and set compassionate, values-aligned goals. The undated, weekly-format layout combines structured prompts (retrospective daily reflection, values-based goal-setting, gratitude tracking, habit tracking) with open space for personalization, making it suitable for clinicians to recommend as a between-session tool that reinforces ACT concepts through ongoing daily practice.  It was developed by an occupational therapist for use with clients working on values-driven behaviour change, brought back to sessions to support continued change.
