Dear Anxiety is a 5 week, online group workshop series grounded in evidence based concepts from Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT) to help you live more fully with your own anxious experiences. These approaches will be complimented by creative writing & creative care practices, conversation and a community environment. This is not therapy, but an opportunity to gain a better understanding of anxiety through creative writing prompts and experiential exercises meant to gently guide participants towards a better understanding of their own personal experience of and with anxiety. In addition to offering space to explore living as an anxious person in an anxiety-inducing world, we aim to push back against the isolating experience of anxiety by bringing folks with similar experiences together in a shame-free, compassionate space.
This series is a collaboration between Julia Sage, MSW and Meg Max, arts facilitator and therapeutic arts practitioner.
Dates: The workshop series begins on Tuesday October 29, 2024. Registration opens on September 3, 2024 and closes on October 25, 2024. We will meet on Tuesdays on Zoom for 5 weeks from 11:30 am to 1:00pm EST. This is a small group course, limited to 10 participants. A minimum of 6 registrants is required for this event to run.
Cost: $365.00 for 5 sessions (Note: This group may be covered by some extended health insurance plans under Social work benefits for folks living in Ontario, Canada).
