Congratulations to TAO ZHANG — our APRIL 2026 ACBS Student Spotlight Award winner!
Tao's research explores how technology and contextual behavioral science can expand access to effective mental health care--especially in regions where resources are limited. From developing ACT-based digital interventions for cancer patients and trauma survivors to leading research showing ACT’s impact on suicidal thoughts and behaviors, Tao is helping bring innovative, culturally responsive mental health support to more people around the world.
The purpose of this award is to highlight students who are doing important work in the CBS community whether for research, clinical, and/or volunteer-humanitarian efforts.
This is a way to highlight their achievements, let the ACBS community know important work students are doing, and possibly provide a platform for mentoring/collaboration/professional development/conversations around highlighted areas.
Join us in celebrating Tao and the important contributions students are making to the CBS community!
