How can we, as contextual behavioral scientists and clinicians, bring our core principles to life amid the weight of our current social and political landscape? When so much feels at stake and so much harm has already occurred—yet, for some of us, daily routines remain largely unchanged, making it easy to default to avoidance or inertia.
In this presentation and discussion, Dr. Jonathan Kanter invites us to consider ourselves, our social networks, and our clients. Together, we will examine how to hold deep ache and ongoing uncertainty with openness and acceptance, and explore what it means to commit to valued action in a world where pain is ever-present—even when our daily contingencies pull toward comfort and the status quo, and even when hope feels difficult to conjure.
