Presenter
Niklas Törneke & Nanni Presti

TÜRBAD Fall Camp 2026 will bring together mental health professionals for two parallel three-day training programs led by Niklas Törneke and Nanni Presti, on November 6–8, 2026, in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Niklas Törneke – Functional Analysis as a Core Tool in ACT and Other Therapies
Niklas Törneke’s workshop will focus on functional analysis as a central tool for understanding therapeutic processes and guiding intervention. Combining established behavioral principles with contemporary perspectives on human language, the training will explore therapeutic collaboration, identifying central aspects of clients’ difficulties, and facilitating new directions in life. The workshop will combine didactic teaching with demonstrations, role-plays, case discussions, and experiential exercises.

Nanni Presti – Flexible Development in Challenging Contexts: Process-Based Therapy with Children and Adolescents in Family and School Contexts

Nanni Presti’s workshop will present a developmental and process-based approach to working with children, adolescents, and families, grounded in functional contextualism, behavior analysis, Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The training will address the role of language, parenting, and school contexts in development; process-based formulations of common childhood and adolescent difficulties; learning and neurodevelopmental differences, including autism; and interventions for adolescents, groups, and school settings.

Both workshops are designed as interactive trainings combining conceptual learning with practical and experiential work.

The trainings will be delivered in English, with simultaneous translation into Turkish available throughout the program.

The event is organized by the Association for Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies (Türkiye) and will take place at Mercure Istanbul Altunizade, Istanbul, on November 6–8, 2026.
