Welcome to our ACT/RFT in ABA Book Club!  We’re diving into materials that blend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Relational Frame Theory, and Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to explore how these approaches integrate in practice, making them more applicable for our work. We will meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month beginning February 24, 2026, at 7:00pm CST when we’ll review key readings or concepts, unpack how they intersect, and engage in discussion.

This is a space for collaborative learning, applying these ideas to our practice, and growing together as professionals. Looking forward to meeting!  Please remember to register in advance with the link above.

This is the official ACT/RFT in ABA book club! 😚  Here, we roll up our sleeves and dig deep to understand how behavior analysis and Contextual Behavioral Science share the same philosophy, the same values and approach to well being.   We'll be reviewing material that gets to the very foundations - the philosophy, theories, concepts and practices.

And I can't think of a better place to start than with - The Wiley Handbook of Contextual Behavioral Science. (See pdf attached)
We'll review the first three chapters (pages 1- 36).

If you're not familiar, this is a great resource to find the principles, research and practical applications of CBS.  It's both in-depth and easy to engage with, inviting you to think deeply while still feeling accessible.  πŸ€”

So, save the date and join us for a robust discussion in our first ACT/RFT in ABA book club meeting!
