Further Information

What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Insomnia (ACT-I)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for insomnia (ACT-I) is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals struggling with sleep difficulties. ACT-I focuses on acknowledging and accepting the presence of insomnia-related thoughts and feelings without judgement, while also encouraging individuals to commit to behaviours aligned with their values. By fostering acceptance, mindfulness, and committed action, ACT-I aims to improve sleep quality and quality of life.

A core focus of ACT-I therapy training is to help clinicians develop skills in assisting their clients to transform their relationship with sleep, helping them to let go of their insomnia struggle and sleep naturally.
