ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have been applying ACT, and DBT, towards the treatment of college students in both individual and group format. I'm particularly interested in the potential for ACT in preventing mental health problems among young adults. As of November 2024, I became Chair of the ACBS Early Career Mentorship Program (ECMP) and we are looking for mentees for next year!
ACT/CBS Experience: Since 1989
Additional Information: I have edited a book, published by New Harbinger, on Mindfulness and Acceptance in Counseling College Students. I have also co-written a self-help book with Victoria Follette on applying ACT principles to healing from trauma, Finding Life Beyond Trauma, also published by New Harbinger Publications. In 2023, an edited book, ACT Practical Guide, came out in Portuguese in Brazil, edited by myself and four other editors, with contributions from ACT leaders from all over the world.
