ACT/CBS Background and Training: I was fortunate to learn ACT from Dr. Sonja Batten during my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Baltimore VAMC. During that time, I also facilitated several introductory ACT workshops with Dr. Batten and a few on my own. In addition, I've been author on a few papers investigating the relationship between experiential avoidance and other constructs such as pathological perfectionism, anger, and PTSD. Lastly, I was a co-author on a small pilot study of an ACT-based intervention for anger and aggression based on the Honorably Experiencing Anger and Threat (HEAT) protocol that I developed during my post-doctoral fellowship.

I have extensive experience using ACT in my therapy practice as well as training, consulting with, and supervising other clinicians who are learning ACT.

Currently, I use ACT in my private practice and am a Peer Reviewed ACT Trainer.
ACT/CBS Experience: I was a "charter member" of ACBS but let my membership lapse many years ago. I'm just now returning to the fold :)
