ACT/CBS Background and Training: My background is mostly cognitive behavioural within medical settings and in 2004 I started working as a clinical psychologist in pain management rehabilitation using a contextual cognitive behavioural therapy approach. In the last 17 years I have been slowly adapting my practice to include more mindfulness and acceptance based techniques. I have attended workshops in compassion focused therapy and for the last 10 years I have been running CFT-Pain groups, with some encouraging findings.
