ACT/CBS Background and Training: I am a clinical psychologist with extensive experience of applied behaviour analysis, mindfulness, self-compassion, DBT, and ACT. Since qualifying, I have worked in the Paediatric and Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology and Haematology services at Bristol Royal Children's Hospital, with the Outlook service for people with appearance-related distress in Southmead Hospital, and in Christchurch, New Zealand, in a secure therapeutic residence for adolescents who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour.
I returned to the UK in 2018 and worked in Bristol in a Tier 4 Adolescent Inpatient Unit contracted by the NHS, run by Priory Group. In November 2020, I started as the lead for the Bristol Outreach clinic of the national Gender Identity Developmental Service (GIDS) working with children and adolescents experiencing gender-related distress. The service was recently closed by NHS England and I am now working in independent practice.
