ACT/CBS Background and Training: My introduction to ACT began with the Steven Hayes article in TIME Magazine in 2006. In 2009 I attended a one day training with Steve Hayes at U.Conn., and a one day training in NH with Joel Guarna. At the ACBS World Conference VIII in Reno (2010) I attended a weekend intensive training with Kelly Wilson, PhD. as well as subsequent workshops.
ACT/CBS Experience: Since my introduction in 2006, I have transitioned to using ACT almost full time in my clinical practice.
Additional Information: My background in philosophy, theology, and spirituality provided a natural curiosity in ACT. The principles of ACT / RFT allowed me to integrate my clinical education and training with my background in philosophy and theology.
