ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have been interested in ACT since 1999 and was introduced to contextual behavioural approaches (such as Functional Analytic Psychotherapy) during my clinical training in Western Australia 1994 - 1995. I have attended many ACT experiential workshops, ACT/RFT Summer Institutes II and IV, and presented papers at the ACT/RFT World Conference 2006, ACT SI IV 2008, UK and Ireland ACT/CBS conferences 2013, 2014, 2016 and ACT World Conferences in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. I have conducted ACT research in the area of psychosis, and workplace interventions, at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London. I have run regular training workshops in ACT and mindfulness-based approaches to psychosis, along with general training in contextual behavioural therapies. I have co-edited a book on ACT and Mindfulness for Psychosis, published by Wiley in 2013. I am co-author of a self-help guide, ACTivate Your Life: using acceptance and mindfulness to build a life that is rich, fulfilling and fun (published March 2015 by Constable Robinson). I am a co-author of the groups manual, ACT for Psychosis Recovery, published by New Harbinger in 2018.
ACT/CBS Experience: I have been using ACT in my clinical work since 2000.
