ACT/CBS Background and Training: I'm formally trained in CBT, behavior therapy, and received intensive training in DBT. During graduate school, I was introduced to ACT and over seven years years I attended several bootcamps and workshops taught by Steve Hayes, Ph.D., Kelly Wilson, Phd., Robyn Walser, Ph.D., Kirk Strosahl, Ph.D. , Russ Harris, Jason Luoma, Patricia Robinson, Michael Twohig, and other wonderful ACT teachers in order to learn the model, philosophical basis, and clinical interventions derived from RFT/ACT model. I basically went through from the first to the third wave, and everything in between.

I'm a passionate behavior therapist and my work is about inviting clients to identify their values and help them to take behavioral steps to move towards them while working through all barriers that may present in this process. Understanding "why" or "how"a problem has become a problem it's simply not enough. "Doing something about it" makes a difference in our lives.

My current experience with ACT includes clinical practice, supervision, and teaching.

I'm the founder of the East Bay Behavior Therapy Center, a boutique private center, in which I offer specialized services on ACT for fear-based struggles such as perfectionism, procrastination, OCD, phobias, trauma, and anxiety related conditions.

As a teacher, I have been teaching ACT as a part of long-year course on evidence-based practices at a graduate level and also facilitated workshops for non-profit organizations and the community in general.

As a supervisor, I guide my students to learn to conceptualize and develop interventions from an ACT model targeting directly core psychological processes.

I'm the author of 6 books, co-author of two, and have been nominated as a Fellow of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) for my contributions to the dissemination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to the treatment of particular unworkable behavioral patterns.
ACT/CBS Experience: 16 years.
