ACT/CBS Background and Training: I have received extensive training in ACT over the past two decades and am most passionate about helping others use ACT to re-engage with their lives. I provide in person and virtual therapy for teens and adults Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec, Canada. In June 2018, I was successful in meeting the requirements for Peer Reviewed ACT Trainer through ACBS and remain actively involved in training other professionals. Co-authored with Mary Bell, our first book for clinicians, "ACT for Adolescents," was the culmination of many years of facilitating group-based ACT for teens. The research connected to these groups was published in early 2026. Our second book was released in October 2018, co-authored with Chris McCurry, this time a self help book for teens who struggle with anxiety. Mary and I completed our third book, a self-help book for teens and young adults, "The ACT Relationship Workbook for Teens" in 2024. For teens and young adults who prefer a self-help recorded course to therapy, "Choose Your Life" is available for purchase through my website (lifeinbalancetherapy.ca), for anyone, living anywhere! I've been told it's very helpful for clinicians who want to learn the model from the inside-out!
